Maker of Violins, Violas and Cellos

Mona Violin

The Mona Violin was completed May 12, 2001 and is modeled after Fritz Kreisler's 1733 Guarneri del Gesu'.  It is dedicated to one of Thurmond's former violinmaking students, Mona the Stilt Dancer.   Both the top and back of the instrument were cut in the Canadian forests in 1914.   Mona was purchased in October, 2001 by Dave Poplawski.
