Rudolph
Wurlitzer Co. Violin
This violin was made for the Rudolph Wurlitzer Company in New York City in the early 20th century. The Wurlitzer Company was established in 1856 and imported instruments from Europe to sell to the American market. This violin was beautifully made with excellent craftsmanship. The oil varnish is a beautiful reddish-brown. The spruce top is of fine even grain, and the once-piece maple back is highly flamed. The neck and ribs are similarly flamed. The tone is excellent with quick response and fine projection. The violin is in near perfect condition. Sale price is $2400. |
